Are you tech-savvy, customer-focused, and eager to gain hands-on IT experience? RU-N IT is looking for motivated IT Consultants to assist the Rutgers–Newark community with technology support. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills, enhance your customer service experience, and be part of a dynamic team!

What You'll Do:

• Provide friendly and professional tech support in person, via phone, email, and chat.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for students, faculty, and staff.

• Assist with setting up and maintaining computers, printers, and other tech resources in labs and offices.

• Clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical users.

• Ensure IT service locations are organized, functional, and welcoming.

• Keep track of support requests using our ticketing system.

• Collaborate with IT staff to escalate complex issues when needed.

• Help create and update guides, FAQs, and documentation.

• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to grow your skills.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

• A positive attitude and ability to work well with others.

• Reliability – being on time and meeting work commitments is a must.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• General knowledge of Windows, macOS, and common software applications (bonus points for experience with troubleshooting networks and hardware!).
