Canvas Maintenance Scheduled for August 10

Instructure, the company that operates Canvas, will perform scheduled maintenance on Rutgers Canvas on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:00 a.m. EDT.

During this maintenance window, Instructure will upgrade Canvas database infrastructure as part of ongoing system modernization, performance, security, and compliance improvements.

Although the maintenance window may last up to one hour, Canvas is expected to be unavailable for only a portion of that time.

Maintenance Window

• Eastern Daylight Time: August 10, 5:00–6:00 a.m.

• Pacific Daylight Time: August 10, 2:00–3:00 a.m.

• Coordinated Universal Time: August 10, 9:00–10:00 a.m.

Please avoid scheduling assignment, discussion, or quiz deadlines during the maintenance window.
