Rutgers University–Newark has launched the new MyTech@Newark website, a redesigned digital home for campus technology services, academic technology support, classroom resources, and innovation initiatives.
The site is the first major launch on Rutgers–Newark’s new Wix Enterprise platform, marking an important step in the campus’s broader effort to modernize its web presence, improve digital service delivery, and make technology information easier for students, faculty, and staff to find.
A clearer gateway to technology services
yTech@Newark brings together information that was previously spread across multiple pages, systems, and support channels. The new site is designed to help the campus community quickly answer practical questions:
Where do I get help with classroom technology?
How do I reserve space or promote an event?
Where can I learn about Canvas, EchoPoll, Zoom, or other teaching tools?
What digital platforms support student engagement and campus operations?
What technology projects are underway at Rutgers–Newark?
The site organizes these resources into a more user-friendly structure, with dedicated areas for services, teaching and learning technologies, classroom support, knowledge base articles, and campus technology initiatives.
Built for a more modern web experience
The move to Wix Enterprise gives Rutgers–Newark a more flexible and sustainable web platform for smaller schools, centers, departments, and service units. The platform supports faster development, easier content updates, improved visual design, and more consistent branding across campus websites.
Just as important, it gives campus teams a practical way to build and maintain modern websites without relying on slow or overly complex development cycles. As web expectations continue to change, Rutgers–Newark needs sites that can evolve quickly, support clear messaging, and connect users to the right information without unnecessary friction.
MyTech@Newark serves as both a working service site and a proof of concept for this new model.
Supporting innovation at Rutgers–Newark
The new site reflects a larger technology enablement strategy at Rutgers–Newark. Beyond traditional IT support, MyTech@Newark highlights the systems and initiatives that help the campus improve teaching, learning, student engagement, and operations.
This includes work around:
Classroom modernization and learning environment upgrades
Student engagement platforms such as RaiderLink
Event systems, digital signage, and campus communication tools
Academic technology resources for faculty
AI fluency and digital innovation programs
Web modernization efforts across Rutgers–Newark
By bringing these efforts together in one place, the site helps tell a clearer story about how technology supports the university’s academic mission and campus priorities.
A platform for what comes next
The launch of MyTech@Newark is only the beginning. Rutgers–Newark is already using the Wix Enterprise platform to support additional web projects, including sites for schools, centers, and strategic initiatives that need more modern, flexible, and audience-focused digital experiences.
As this work expands, the goal is not simply to move websites from one platform to another. The goal is to rethink how campus websites are structured, written, maintained, and connected so that they better serve students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external audiences.
The new MyTech@Newark site gives Rutgers–Newark a strong foundation for that work.
